AC Juvenes-Dogana have lifted the Coppa Titano in San Marino for the second time by beating S.S. Virtus 4-1 in the final at the Stadio Olimpico in Serravalle.
Juvenes-Dogana opened the scoring via Francesco Ceci after 17 minutes and doubled their lead ten minutes from the interval thanks to a spectacular finish by Riccardo Santini. The result was then put beyond doubt on 65 minutes when José Adolfo Hirsch notched an own goal, deflecting in a free-kick from Francesco Baldini.
Hirsch found the target at the other end when he was struck by a clearance from Juvenes-Dogana goalkeeper Eros Gobbi that bounced in, but Eugenio Colombini restored the three-goal deficit with a precise header six minutes from time.
Luciano Mularoni's charges were thus able to raise the trophy they last claimed in 2009, their first since the merger of S.S. Juvenes and G.S. Dogana in 2000. They can now look forward to entering the first round of UEFA Europa League qualifying next term.
