Dragan Stančić has returned to his former club OFK Beograd on a season-long loan from FK Crvena Zvezda.
Mission not accomplished
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder left OFK for Crvena Zvezda last summer on a four-year contract but slipped down the reckoning following coach Ljupko Petrovic's resignation in September. "My main concern is to be playing," Stančić said. "I didn't get enough chances to do so at Crvena Zvezda and I want to be a key figure at OFK. However, I don't think my mission with Crvena Zvezda is finished yet."
Stančić joined OFK as a 15-year-old and broke through during the 2000/01 season. He was part of the Serbia and Montenegro side that finished runners-up at the 2004 UEFA European Under-21 Championship and has two senior caps. Both OFK and Crvena Zvezda will enter the UEFA Cup in the second qualifying round.
